Rain City Fencing Center is pleased to announce the return of the Rain City Super Youth Circuit in 2024! SYCs are national point events for Y10, Y12, and Y14 fencers. Fencers from all over the western US, Canada, and beyond are expected to compete.
Schedule Update 4/7/24
In order to facilitate the smooth running of the event, the Y14MF event on Friday April 19th will now start at 2:00pm (30 minutes later than originally planned.) Thank you for your understanding.
Waitlist Update 3/28/24
We will not be expanding the cap on any of our events. If you are currently waitlisted, you will only be admitted into the event if spaces become available due to cancellations prior to April 19th. If you no longer wish to be on the waitlist, please cancel your waitlist registration to avoid being charged a fee.
Schedule Update 2/26/24
In order to accommodate some waitlisted fencers, we have made two minor changes to the event schedule. Please note the new times for the following events:
Y12WS: Saturday at 1:00pm
Y12WE: Saturday at 2:00pm
All events are capped. Caps may be adjusted to accommodate waitlisted fencers after the regular fee deadline has passed and we know the near-final attendance numbers.
Doors open at 7:30 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, and at 6:30 AM on Sunday.
All times listed are close of registration. Fencing will begin within ten minutes of that time, so be prepared!
All events will be fenced as a single round of pools with 100% promoted to the direct-elimination tableau.
Medals will be awarded to the top 8 finishers in each event. National points will be awarded to the top 40% (rounded up) in each event.
On Thursday April 18th, we will be doing equipment checks in the evening from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
Minor athletes may be accompanied by one parent or guardian in the venue. All spectators and parents must remain in the lobby or upstairs on the mezzanine. Only athletes, officials, and coaches are allowed on the fencing floor.
All registrations and payments must be made through the USA Fencing site.
Registration and admin fees are non-refundable. To request a refund of event fees, send us an email. Refund requests must be received by Monday, April 22nd. No refunds will be given after the tournament is complete.
Parking at the venue will be very limited. There will be a shuttle service running continuously from the Sonesta hotel to the venue. All fencers, including those from the Seattle area, are strongly encouraged to park off-site and ride the shuttle.
